Weather in Port Canaveral Temperature 74f/23c, Wind 14 kilometres/8.5 MPH, No Rain some cloud
To day we go to Port Canaveral. From the ship you will be able to see some of the space launching buildings but most likely no launches. Trish and I have been to Port Canaveral and there is nothing there. Most people leave the ship for a quick trip to Disney World which is about an hour away.
Trish and I had rented a car before we left Toronto and went for a drive. Our plan which was very loose was to drive to Fort Pierce and see if we could find the Mursells who would have been getting their boat ready for their trip to The Bahamas.
We drove for about 20 minutes and realized a number of things. One we were in an unknot state, in and unfamiliar car, going to a location which we were quite vague about. The thing which made up our mind to turn around and have lunch on the ship was the fact it was raining so hard we could not see the road.
Weather as we leave Bermuda Temp 22c/71f Wind 18 MPH No Rain No big waves yet between Bermuda and Port Canaveral
Feeling that I am failing the followers of the blog with my contribution I thought I would let you all hear from a couple, who look amazingly similar to Trish and I, about their trip around the world. They are not on the Queen Victoria nor are they on a Cunard Ship. They are going around the world and are willing to tell us about it.

I am finding it a little difficult to run a virtual blog. First it is hard to make what you are actually doing interesting to others well it is perhaps impossible to get interest in what you are not doing.
As I do the blog it is making me at lease want to go on a cruise.
Tomorrow we arrive in Bermuda so at least the will be more than water. While on it it is great but hard to make wonderful to others. If anyone has an idea of how to do the blog so as someone might want to join me on the cruise please help.
Last night we had a martini in MMJ's stateroom and then on to The Princess Grille. All the food is excellent and there is too much to choose from. I thought it would be fun to tell you what we ate last night. You may want to read this part of the blog when you are not hungry.

Cunard's Queens still have a first class which include The Princess and Queen's cabins. I cannot go into much detail largely because I have never been on Cunard, but they do have separate dinning.
The blog is only a guide. If you want more just go on to YouTube and search Cunard Queen Victoria. You need Cunard because there is actually a Queen Victoria our current Queen's Grandmother.
Weather at Highclere Castle 63f/17c no rain a little rain
Margaret wanted to tour Highclere Castle, but there did not seem to be time. London is a very large town with a lot of sites. While at Chewton Glen we are about 1 hour from Highclere. It is a nice country drive so we decided to go.
Yesterday we went by train from The Charing Cross Station to The New Milton Station. From there we took two cabs to Chewton Glen. I could not find a train ride from Waterloo Station to New Milton so I have given you a ride from Waterloo Station to Southampton Central. Once again you should speed up the trip by going to settings and doubling the speed. Even if you do this you may not watch the whole thing, but enjoy what ever amount you choose to view.
Chewton Glen is an old country inn and spa about 30 minutes by cab from the Southampton docks. I do not know much or anything about the hotel other then it costs about $2,600 a day or $5,200 for the two days. This is for three and does include breakfast and dinner.
This yesterday morning we did another tour of London. The suggestion for what to do while in here was as follows.
Harrods
London Eye or the Millennium Wheel - on this trip heights do not bother anyone
Westminster Cathedral
Westminster Abbey
Queen’s Gallery -Buckingham Palace
I think we first went to The Eye and took a look at London. Following this we will go to Westminster both the Abbey and Cathedral. We will go to the Queen's Gallery - Buckingham Palace. Finally we will go to Harrod's for a late lunch. As we walk to The Eye we go through Trafalgar Square and past The Admiralty.
Separately I posted a video which travels from Trafalgar Square to Buckingham Palace. I recommend you go to setting and speed it up to 2X.
Below is a walking tour from Trafalgar Square to Buckingham Palace. I recommend you go to settings and speed it up to 2X you will still see the sights.
The Tate gallery has four locations the London location is a 35 minute walk which takes us right by the back of Buckingham Palace. It is called Tate Britain. After visiting The Tate we will walk up to Trafalgar Square then on to the hotel. Below there is a map of our trip. We walk by Big Ben on the way to Trafalgar Square.
Today is our first day in London Margaret suggested we go somewhere simple for dinner. We were going to eat at Donovans Bar but decided none of us wanted to pay 24 pounds or about $45 for a cheeseburger. We are went to go to The Kings Head just down the street and had some steak and kidney pie.
By the way it is 11c or 51f with little wind and no rain. It was a very nice walk to The King's. We all had beer except for Kelly who had a coffee with her hamburger.
We are not staying in the Palace, but this is as close as I could come to the drive to The Browns our Hotel. It is located just behind The Palace close to Piccadilly Circus
Here is a map of London showing The Hotel and The Palace
I do not know how exact we will each follow our trip around the world. Do you think we will get into a bathtub when we decide to go for a swim. Perhaps we will just fill up the tub and sit beside it. Below is a Youtube of a trip from Toronto to London. You get out of the cab at Pearson and arrive in London. I will warn you it is 27 minutes long, so there is no requirement anyone watch the whole thing.
Our departure for London will be at 9:50 in the evening and will take 7 hours and 5 minutes. We will be travelling at about 460 – 575 mph / 740 – 930 kph. Planes travel faster the higher they go so we will be about 31,000 and 38,000 feet — about 5.9 to 7.2 miles — high. I hope everyone is packed.
Below you will find the address of a 60 page guide to world cruising. I will not read the whole thing put it may be a good idea to look at what we should pack. Remember Cunard has Formal nights and we will be travelling during several birth days.
I hope you are all ready. You have 2 and 1/2 days to pack for the next 3 and 1/2 months. We would have liked to have booked a separate cabin for the luggage, bur the ship is fill.
Good morning My sisters along with Trish, Kelly and I are going to sail around the world on the Queen Victoria. Since we are sailing virtually we not only do not have to pay the $200,000 but do not need to leave when The Victoria is actually sailing. In real life she leaves Southampton next year on January 10th. We sincerely hope by then we will be back to some form of normal and unable to travel so extravagantly. So we are leaving next Monday our first stop is London where we will stay about three days then on to Southampton. We have decided to get just a plain Princess Grille Suite on the 5th floor which makes it affordable at $225,000 for the 108 days. I will attempt to keep everyone up to date on our location and the weather. The english translation of "weather" is wind and waves. The rain and temperature will not matter due to the fact that there is a lot to do on the boat. I have tried to get a picture of the itinerary so as you could see it but so far have failed. Remember we fly to London next Monday. Wind and waves off Southhampton April 7, 2020 13 Knots 1.2 meters
